Tapak Air Naga di Asahan, Sumatera Utara

Dari TV Trans7 pagi ini, dikabarkan bahwa di salahsatu rawa di daerah Asahan, Sumatera Utara, mendadak terbentuk suatu tapak air (genangan air) sepanjang 1.5 Km, dengan kedalaman hingga 4 m dan lebar sekitar 3 m. Menurut warga, tapak air ini terjadi hanya dalam waktu satu malam saja. Daerah yang dimaksud, adalah daerah rawa-rawa dimana biasanya dipergunakan warga hanya untuk mencari ikan. Tapak airnya sendiri, katanya menyerupai bentuk naga.

Yang juga mengherankan, seorang wanita warga desa sekitar beberapa waktu sebelum munculnya tapak air ini mengaku menyaksikan adanya dua sumber sinar mirip lampu mobil berkeliaran ditengah rawa pada sekitar jam 1 malam, tapi tidak menyebutkan adanya suara mesin.

Saksi menuturkan kalau ia saat itu sedang dalam perjalanan pulang kerja, dan ia mengamati kedua sinar tersebut hingga akhirnya menghilang.

Menurut warga lain, kemunculan tapak air ini merupakan pertanda akan terjadinya bencana buruk, mengacu pada kejadian serupa sekitar 15 tahun sebelumnya, kala terjadi banjir besar setelah ditemukan tapak air serupa sepanjang 9 Km.

Kejadian geologiskah? Patahan bumi akibat pergeseran lempeng tektonik? Ataukah sesuatu yang lain?

Dengan asumsi bahwa rawa-rawa basah bukanlah daerah yang biasanya dikunjungi oleh kendaraan darat, dan saksi tidak menyebutkan adanya suara motor bekerja, jadi sinar apakah yang dilihat saksi pada saat itu?

Jika yang terjadi adalah UFO sighting, mungkin bisa dibantu dibuktikan dengan penyidikan lokasi, baik secara fisik (melihat tanda-tanda khusus, aerial photography), maupun secara eletronik (pengecekan kadar radiasi, anomali medan elektromagnetik, blind spot, dll.). (bay)

Teknologi Teleportasi di Jaman Nabi Sulaiman

Tulisan ini dibuat oleh rekan Elfarid dari "Sanggar Mewah" (Mewah = Mepet Sawah), mengenai petunjuk adanya teknologi teleportasi di masa silam pada ayat-ayat Al Qur'an. Menarik untuk ditelaah lebih lanjut (bay)

Tulisan ini masih berkaitan dengan tulisan tentang Nabi Sulaiman sebelumnya. Kisah nabi Sulaiman memindahkan singgasana Ratu Balqis dari negeri Saba’ ke negeri Palestina yang berjarak 2.000 km dalam hitungan detik memancing pemikiran kta untuk mengetahui bagaimana teknik pemindahan singgasana tersebut.

Seperti tercantum dalam Al Qur’an Surat An Naml:

38. Berkata Sulaiman: "Hai pembesar-pembesar, siapakah di antara kamu sekalian yang sanggup membawa singgasananya kepadaku sebelum mereka datang kepadaku sebagai orang-orang yang berserah diri."

39. Berkata 'Ifrit (yang cerdik) dari golongan jin: "Aku akan datang kepadamu dengan membawa singgsana itu kepadamu sebelum kamu berdiri dari tempat dudukmu; sesungguhnya aku benar-benar kuat untuk membawanya lagi dapat dipercaya."

40. Berkatalah seorang yang mempunyai ilmu dari AI Kitab[1097]: "Aku akan membawa singgasana itu kepadamu sebelum matamu berkedip." Maka tatkala Sulaiman melihat singgasana itu terletak di hadapannya, iapun berkata: "Ini termasuk kurnia Tuhanku untuk mencoba aku apakah aku bersyukur atau mengingkari (akan nikmat-Nya). Dan barangsiapa yang bersyukur maka sesungguhnya dia bersyukur untuk (kebaikan) dirinya sendiri dan barangsiapa yang ingkar, maka sesungguhnya Tuhanku Maha Kaya lagi Maha Mulia."

Keterangan

[1097]. Al Kitab di sini maksudnya: ialah Kitab yang diturunkan sebelum Nabi Sulaiman ialah Taurat dan Zabur.

Dari pembesar-pembesar anak buah Nabi Sulaiman baik dari kalangan jin dan manusia diberi tantangan untuk memindahkan singgasana Ratu Balqis. Jin Ifrit menyanggupi memindahkan dengan waktu sebelum Nabi Sulaiman berdiri. Tetapi kemampuan jin Ifrit itu dipatahkan oleh seorang yang berilmu (ilmuwan) bernama Asif bin Barkhiya dengan menyanggupi memindahkan singgasana yang letaknya 2.000 km dari Palestina sebelum mata berkedip!

Sekali mata manusia berkedip dalam hitungan detik sedang Asif bin Barkhiya menyanggupi sebelum mata berkedip atau kurang dari satu detik! Kecepatan itu hanya mampu ditandingi oleh kecepatan cahaya. Ini adalah petunjuk penting bahwa pemindahan singgasana ratu Balqis menggunakan teknologi yang sangat maju disebut teleportasi. Teknologi pemindahan materi jarak jauh.

Dari kecepatannya dapat dipastikan teknologi tersebut lebih cepat dari jin Ifrit. Satu-satunya yang mungkin yaitu teknologi dengan memanfaatkan cahaya atau sinar sebagai media untuk teleportasi tersebut. Bisa saja teleportasi dengan sinar laser sudah ada di jaman tersebut sehingga urusan memindahkan singgasana dalam hitungan detik pun hal yang mudah.

Kalau ada yang membantah dan mengatakan itu adalah sihir maka di dalam Al Qur’an pun sudah dibantah. Lihat Surat Al Baqarah ayat 102:

102. Dan mereka mengikuti apa[76] yang dibaca oleh syaitan-syaitan[77] pada masa kerajaan Sulaiman (dan mereka mengatakan bahwa Sulaiman itu mengerjakan sihir), padahal Sulaiman tidak kafir (tidak mengerjakan sihir), hanya syaitan-syaitan lah yang kafir (mengerjakan sihir). Mereka mengajarkan sihir kepada manusia dan apa yang diturunkan kepada dua orang malaikat[78] di negeri Babil yaitu Harut dan Marut, sedang keduanya tidak mengajarkan (sesuatu) kepada seorangpun sebelum mengatakan: "Sesungguhnya kami hanya cobaan (bagimu), sebab itu janganlah kamu kafir". Maka mereka mempelajari dari kedua malaikat itu apa yang dengan sihir itu, mereka dapat menceraikan antara seorang (suami) dengan isterinya[79]. Dan mereka itu (ahli sihir) tidak memberi mudharat dengan sihirnya kepada seorangpun, kecuali dengan izin Allah. Dan mereka mempelajari sesuatu yang tidak memberi mudharat kepadanya dan tidak memberi manfaat. Demi, sesungguhnya mereka telah meyakini bahwa barangsiapa yang menukarnya (kitab Allah) dengan sihir itu, tiadalah baginya keuntungan di akhirat, dan amat jahatlah perbuatan mereka menjual dirinya dengan sihir, kalau mereka mengetahui.

Keterangan:

[77]. Syaitan-syaitan itu menyebarkan berita-berita bohong, bahwa Nabi Sulaiman menyimpan lembaran-lembaran sihir (Ibnu Katsir).

[78]. Para mufassirin berlainan pendapat tentang yang dimaksud dengan 2 orang malaikat itu. Ada yang berpendapat, mereka betul-betul Malaikat dan ada pula yang berpendapat orang yang dipandang saleh seperti Malaikat dan ada pula yang berpendapat dua orang jahat yang pura-pura saleh seperti Malaikat.

[79]. Berbacam-macam sihir yang dikerjakan orang Yahudi, sampai kepada sihir untuk mencerai-beraikan masyarakat seperti mencerai-beraikan suami isteri.

Dalam suatu riwayat dikemukakan bahwa kaum Yahudi berkata: "Lihatlah Muhammad yang mencampur-baurkan antara haq dengan bathil, yaitu menerangkan Sulaiman (Nabi) digolongkan pada kelompok nabi-nabi, padahal ia seorang ahli sihir yang mengendarai angin." Maka Allah menurunkan ayat tersebut di atas (S. 2: 102) yang menegaskan bahwa kaum Yahudi lebih mempercayai syaitan daripada iman kepada Allah SWT.

Dalam riwayat lain dikemukakan bahwa kaum Yahudi bertanya kepada Nabi SAW beberapa kali tentang beberapa hal dalam Taurat. Semua pertanyaan mengenai isi Taurat, dijawab oleh Allah dengan menurunkan ayat. Ketika itu mereka menganggap bahwa ayat tersebut dirasakan sebagai bantahan terhadap mereka. Mereka berkata dengan sesamanya: "Orang ini lebih mengetahui daripada kita tentang apa yang diturunkan kepada kita." Di antara masalah yang ditanyakan kepada Nabi SAW ialah tentang sihir. Dan mereka berbantah-bantahanlah dengan Rasulullah tentang hal itu. Maka Allah menurunkan ayat ini (S. 2: 102) berkenaan dengan peristiwa tersebut.

Asif bin Barkhiya merupakan ilmuwan yang menguasai teknologi teleportasi, bukan ilmu sihir karena sihir selalu menggunakan jin. Sedangkan jin Ifrit yang merupakan jin cerdik pun tidak bisa mengalahkan teknologi itu. Teknologi tinggi bagi orang yang tidak menguasai pun laksana sihir. Seperti di jaman sekarang pun teknologi masih sangat menakjubkan bagi orang awam yang tidak tahu cara kerjanya. Kesimpulannya yaitu teknologi teleportasi sudah dikuasai ilmuwan di jaman Nabi Sulaiman. Tantangan bagi manusia jaman kini untuk kembali menguasasi teknologi itu.

UFO dan Bingkai Persepsi

Masalah yang muncul dari ketidaklengkapan data adalah terbukanya ruang untuk interpretasi. Dan interpretasi akan memiliki beragam bentuk sesuai dengan sudut pandang si pemberi penafsiran. Inilah sebabnya mengapa dalam banyak kasus UFO sighting, kesimpulan antara para believers dan debunkers akan suatu event sighting bisa berbeda 180 derajat, tergantung interpretasi masing-masing pihak.

Kedua sisi tentunya mengutamakan pengetahuan dan familiarity-nya atas kejadian tersebut, mana yang dirasa lebih familiar dan bisa diterima oleh disiplin pemikirannya, maka itulah yang diterima. Bagi mereka yang skeptics, atau malah mendedikasikan diri untuk menjadi UFO debunkers, maka ketika data terkumpul masih bisa dikaitkan dengan kejadian-kejadian alami / buatan manusia / kesalahan identifikasi / hoax, tanpa perlu pikir panjang label kesalahan identifikasi pun disematkan, dan misi "menguak kebenaran" pun dianggap tercapai, terpuaskan. Masalahnya, pengambilan kesimpulan melalui cara seperti ini biasanya selalu berhasil menemukan kaitan rasional dan konvensional terhadap kejadian se-luar biasa apapun.

Misalnya mengenai Rods, kala rekaman foto memperlihatkan adanya benda terbang mirip silinder yang terlihat kabur (standar penampakan Rods), maka para debunker bisa dengan mudah menganggap foto tersebut sebagai rekaman gambar serangga biasa yang terbang cepat, dimana distorsi cahaya dan lensa telah membuatnya terlihat seperti mahluk lain yang tidak dikenal. Padahal iapun hanya menelaah dan berinterpretasi terhadap data yang ada, bukan karena ia melihat sendiri serangganya.

Atau dengan mengatakan bahwa saksi mata sighting sedang mengalami halusinasi ketika melihat piring terbang di angkasa. Atau menyatakan bahwa suatu video rekaman sighting adalah hasil rekayasa komputer. Pengerucutan kesimpulannya mungkin sudah melalui prosedur yang benar, namun dengan persepsi yang condong kearah neutralizing atau negatifism, maka ketika tiba waktunya untuk menginterpretasikan data yang ada, yang akhirnya terjadi adalah hilangnya data berharga karena pelabelan yang tidak tepat.

Di sisi lain, dengan beragamnya referensi soal UFO yang diketahui, baik yang bersifat fakta, legenda, maupun dongeng, maka seorang Ufolog bisa juga terlalu cepat melompat kepada kesimpulan prematur. Dan bagi seorang UFO fanatics, malah tak jarang informasi yang masuk kemudian diolah seadanya, kemudian jika terlihat ada kaitannya dengan karakteristik UFO, walaupun hanya sedikit, maka kesimpulan akhirnyapun adalah justifikasi mengenai keberadaan UFO.

Jadi jika skeptics / debunkers cenderung mengabaikan kesimpulan kearah kejadian luar biasa, jika data yang dikumpulkan masih bisa dikaitkan dengan kejadian kejadian biasa, maka UFO fanatics kebalikannya; cenderung mengabaikan kesimpulan kearah kejadian biasa, jika masih bisa dikaitkan dengan kejadian luar biasa. Dua-duanya berada di sisi yang ekstrim.

Siapa yang benar? Tidak bisa dipukul rata, tapi yang pasti extrimisme cenderung membutakan, baik yang pro maupun kontra.

Sayangnya, masalah utama dalam banyak kasus UFO sighting adalah sangat sedikitnya data ilmiah yang bisa dikumpulkan, sehingga baik pihak pro maupun kontra sama-sama menitikberatkan pendapatnya pada interpretasi.

Sampai saat ini, posisi mereka yang mengaitkan diri dengan status "ilmiah", sebagian besar masih berada di sisi berseberangan dengan para Ufolog. Ufologi masih dianggap masuk kepada ranah "pseudo-science" karena banyaknya data-data yang didapatkan tidak bersifat solid, dan metode penelitiannya tidak bisa mengikuti metode baku dunia ilmu pengetahuan. Maka dari itu pula, banyak sajian informasi terkait UFO yang dibuat oleh produser-produser yang merasa dirinya scientifically intellect, rata-rata hanya berusaha meyakinkan para pemirsanya bahwa tidak ada apapun diluar sana, selain dari yang sudah pernah dipetakan dan dokumentasikan para kolega peneliti dan ilmuwan, kedalam suatu sistim pengetahuan yang sudah baku. Diluar itu semua, kalau tidak bisa dibakukan dalam suatu tatanan keilmuan standar, maka dianggap tidak ada.

Namun ini mirip seperti kasus dulu ketika kaum agamis menghakimi Nicolaus Copernicus sebagai sesat, karena berani menentang doktrin mengenai kemuliaan planet Bumi, dengan mengatakan bahwa Matahari adalah pusat Tata Surya, dan planet Bumi bukanlah pusat alam semesta.

Sialnya, jika alam semesta itu ramah dan tidak pelit berbagi informasi (dan penciptanya memang bermaksud untuk menjadikannya sebagai monumen kebesaran-Nya yang bisa dipelajari), sehingga klaim Copernicus lambat laun bisa dibuktikan bersama-sama, maka dalam dunia Ufologi kita berhadapan dengan obyek penelitian yang:

1. Mode operasi standarnya adalah menghindari liputan manusia
2. Sulit dicari sample nya, ataupun direkam outputnya untuk dipelajari
3. Tingkat teknologinya relatif lebih tinggi daripada si pengamat, sehingga terdapat jenjang perbedaan kemampuan penginderaaan yang cukup besar
4. Para penciptanya juga diduga memiliki tingkat intelegensi yang juga lebih tinggi daripada si pengamat sehingga juga terdapat jenjang perbedaan pola pikir yang cukup besar
5. Banyak unsur militer di berbagai negara menganggap topik ini sebagai Above Top Secret terkait keamanan negara sehingga keberadaannya cenderung ditutup-tutupi
6. Banyak pihak yang dianggap memiliki kemampuan untuk mendapatkan data lebih akurat dan melakukan penelitian lebih serius, tidak mau membagi hasil temuannya kepada masyarakat
7. Adanya usaha aktif dari kalangan oposisi, untuk melakukan netralisasi dan negatifisme terhadap keberadaan obyek tersebut, sehingga menambah keengganan para saksi untuk muncul dan mengungkapkan kesaksiannya

Hal ini secara langsung dan tidak langsung, telah membuat puluhan tahun penelitian terhadap topik UFO, tidak berhasil membuahkan satu gebrakan pun yang dianggap berarti, jika dipandang dari sudut pandang ilmiah. Alasan yang sama dipakai pemerintah AS ketika akhirnya menutup Project Blue Book.

Tapi mengutip ucapan Sir Martin Reese, astronomer kenamaan berkebangsaan Inggris, "absence of evidence does not mean evidence of absence" (ketiadaan bukti tidak berarti bukti ketiadaan), maka justru yang seharusnya dilakukan dalam menghadapi topik Ufologi adalah, suatu penerimaan bahwa topik ini tidak bisa diteliti dengan prosedur baku penelitian ilmiah yang sudah ada, yang sudah mapan.

Yang kita perlukan justru bukan memaksa supaya gambar cocok dengan bingkai, alias pemaksaan penggunaan metode standar dan baku penelitian ilmiah karena cuma itu tools penelitian yang ada, tapi pencarian metode penelitian alternatif yang mampu menelaah dengan baik topik ini.

Karena keberadaan UFO sebenarnya bisa dideteksi dan diukur, hanya saja kita belum menemukan teknologi yang tepat. (bay)

Japan: An Imperial Japanese Sally bomber aircraft, on a mission over the Sea of Japan, was approached by a small dark spherical object which flew around and between the aircraft in the formation. An alert gun-cameraman snapped one photograph.
Solomon Islands: While in the Solomon Islands US Marine Corp Sgt. Stephen J. Brickner sighted a staggering number of UFOs, laid out in virtually an enormous rectangle. They were in rows of 15 objects long by ten objects deep. The formation was 15 craft long and 10 deep. Formation sightings have been reported before but the rectangle shape is unique.
Timor Sea: The cruiser Tromp was approached by a large aluminum disc that flew at tremendous speed. It then circled the Dutch vessel for about three to four hours. Finally, it flew off at an estimated speed of 3,000-3,500 mph.
USA, California, Los Angeles: A gigantic black-out, covering the area from Bakersfield south to San Diego and eastward to Boulder City and Las Vegas, Nev., went into effect shortly after 8 o’clock last night on orders from the Army Fourth Interceptor Command. It continued until 11:03 p.m. As Los Angeles went dark amongst considerable confusion and uncertainty, The Interceptor Command announced, “this is not a practice black-out.” A yellow signal, indicating the approach of enemy air raiders, was flashed on the state-wide teletype at 7:35p.m.. Police said the signal indicated the presence of unidentified airplanes approaching Los Angeles from the sea but did not necessarily mean they were enemy. Anti-aircraft and machine gunners scrambled to their weapons at Ft. Mac Arthur, which was promptly placed on alert basis. Reports that the sound of gunfire could be heard could not be verified from listening posts at the beach or at the harbor. Definite indication that the Interceptor Command meant business by calling for the black-out was contained in a statement from a spokesman who said: “There are planes over the south of Los Angeles that are unidentified. The area will be blacked out until we can identify them.” When asked if Army planes had been sent aloft to contact these aircraft the spokesman said: “You can assume there have been.” Thousands of Angelinos, listening for straining ears for sounds of aircraft, were unable to distinguish sounds of motors, however. A few minutes after the black-out was ordered, the flashing of what appeared to be Army searchlights was visible in the higher portions of Los Angeles, 25 miles from the water front. Headquarters of the Fourth Interceptor Command, calling the blackout a success, said they had a report that unidentified planes were in the vicinity of Los Angeles.

Burma: US bomber pilots flying missions from Burma to China reported being buzzed and circled by 'glittering' objects. Instruments failed to operate until the objects flew off.
China, Qing Xian, Hebet Province: A domed UFO that emitted a white light was seen flying less than 20 feet above the ground.
Germany, Schweinfurt: On October 14, 1943, US B-17s of the 348th Bomb Group had started a bombing run over Schweinfurt, Germany, when they ran into a formation of 'scores' of small, silvery disks, about one inch thick and four inches in diameter, flying toward the bombers. Major E.R.T. Holmes reported that one struck the tail of one aircraft, but without effect.
Russia, Pushkino: Soldiers saw a disc-shaped object hovering high in the air above aircraft.

Austria, Klagenfurt: Major Leet, a bomber pilot, saw a luminous disc follow his plane and its maneuvers.
Germany, Hagenau: On December 22, 1944, Lt. David McFalls of the US 415 th night fighter squadron was over Hagenau, Germany. At 6:00 am, he saw two 'hug, bright orange lights' climbing toward the plane. McFalls dived, banked and turned his plane, but the UFOs stuck with him for two minutes, then peeled off and blinked out.
India, Kharagapur: On August 10, 1944, Captain Alvah M. Reida was piloting a B-29 bomber based at Kharagapur, India, on a mission over Palembang, Sumatra, when his right gunner and co-pilot noticed a sphere 'probably five or six feet in diameter, of a very bright and intense red or orange in color' that constantly throbbed, about 12,500 ft off the starboard wing. It kept up with the B-29, then flying at 210 mph. Reida tried to shake it off his plane, but it stayed in the same relative position until , after eight minutes, it 'made an abrupt 90 degree turn and accelerated rapidly, disappearing in the overcast.'
USA, Washington, DC. On February 22, Franklin D. Roosevelt writes a Top Secret memo on White House stationary for "The special committee on non-terrestrial science and technology." Both the title and the content clearly allude to extraterrestrial life, the former using the word "non-terrestrial" and the latter talks about "coming to grips with the reality that our planet is not the only one harboring intelligent life the universe.
World War II pilots on both sides of the conflict reported, "Foo fighters," bright, unidentified flying objects that move in the sky in a strange manner.

1945

North Korea, Wonsan: Three Japanese Zeroes engage two daylight discs in a dogfight. One Zero is shot down, and the UFOs flee into space.
USA, Alaska, Aleutian Islands: Fourteen men on the USAT Delarof saw a dark spherical object rise out of the water, circle their ship and fly off to the south.

1946

Sweden: The well-documented 'Ghost Rocket' invasion of Sweden took place as cigar-shaped objects rained down on land and lake in this area of northern Europe.
USA, Florida: Pilot and crew of a C-47 aircraft 30 miles north-east of Tampa, saw a cigar-shaped object with luminous portholes hurtle towards them in horizontal flight at the same altitude of 4,000ft. At 1,000 yards distant it swerved to avoid them. Estimated size of object was twice that of a B-29 bomber.

Aims of this document is to give a chronological survey for anyone who are interested in this area, but don't have enough personal knowledge to reach general view in quality of various claims about paranormal and seminormal.

From prehistory to the middle age:

120.000 BCE: Animistic faith rose among of Homo Neanderthal.
75.000 BCE: First signs from animal cults, where animals were perhaps represented some kind of divinity.
25.000 BCE: Human culture and religions got started. Yet cave art of this time covered the signs of primitive religions, especially animal myths related to half-humans and monsters.
3.000 BCE: Astrology evolving in the ancient Sumer.
1.470 BCE: Centre of the ancient Thera (the present Santorini) island exploded when the local volcano erupted, which produce Atlantis-myth or at least had strong influence to it, if we believe in present general appreciation.
1.300 BCE: Moses, well known as religious prophet and miracle maker, born in the Egypt.
600 BCE: Scientific way to thinking began among of Jonian philosophers, who discuss also characters of the human soul and what happened in miracles. First discuss about "extrasensory abilities" happened among Plato's followers.
600 BCE: Well-known eastern philosopher and mystic Laotse born. He was claimed to live exceptional longevity, like many others who are well know from their wisdom and long-sighted mind.
546 BCE: Croesus, the king of ancient Lydia, tested skills of oracles and convinced that Delphoi oracle really had paranormal ability to make prediction from the future.
200 BCE. First known research about acupuncture published in the China.
6 BCE: Famous miracle maker and mythical prophet of Christianity, Jesus of Nazareth born. The Roman Empire crucified him 39 years later because of his religious power.
100: Caius Plinius Caecilius Secundus described first known poltergeist-like events.
150: Claudios Ptolemy published his famous treatise about astrology to make it more coherent instead of various different schools. Also majority of the present (orthodox) astrologists founded their astrological thinking on this study.
312: Constantine the Great saw shining cross in the sky, which had drastic influence in the prevalence of Christianity.
371: Spiritists used ouija-board first time in the history, although not in that name.
452: According to Damascus, after Attila lost fight in the Rome, there were unexplained apparitions of solders and noises of fighting around the town in couple of days. Similar events are told to happen also in other crisis situations.
565: First registered sighting of Loch Ness monster happened when Saint Columbia had the lake monster encounter in the beach of Ness river at his trip in the Scotland.
988: Witnesses told that Jesus statue of the Puceller's priory began surprisingly crying just few moments before fire destroyed the city. Similar miracles had told everywhere in the world from the early history.
1136: The treatise about wizard Merlin's prophecies published. Few years later published also Merlin's biography.
1179: Almost mythological clairvoyant and healer Hildegard died. 24. 9.
1235: Probably first carefully studied UFO case in the history happened when Japanese general Yoritsume's army observed unexplained light phenomena in the sky. General set research group to study this case and it offered the conclusion that they were only stars, which sway in the wind. 10. 11.
1407: French queen Isabeau gave birth to illegitimate child, which claimed to be well-known Jeanne d'Arc, the virgin of Orleans. The history told that she did many claimed miracles in the fights that ended victory because of mysterious events and she got lot of publicity in the opposition because of those occasions. Later she caught and burned as the witch, although the Vatican canonizes her 500 years later.

Beginning of modern history:

1503: Well-known astrologer and fortune-teller, Michel de Nostradame born.
1510: Saint Katarina died to loss of blood when her body temperature began surprisingly grow and finally her blood, which was leaked from her body, told to be so hot that anyone couldn't touch it. That description has some connections with spontaneous human combustion (SHC).
1513: Piri Reis created his famous map, which include many areas of the Antarctica and America, whose were unknown in his lifetime.
1561: One of most famous early UFO case, where the citizens of the Nürnberg got into abashed witnesses of strange phenomena above the city. Strangeness of this phenomenon meant lot of cross and saucer like flying objects. Case had noticed by the local media and artist.
1571: Pope Pius V gets strong vision from victorious sea fight of Lepanto, which had epochal influence to western culture. First messengers bring the message after two weeks from the event and they describe events just like pope Pius V.
1593: First known teleportation case was claimed to happened when Gil Perez, the guard of Manila's governor palace's appeared among the day to the Mexico's Plaza Mayor. Description from the case told that Perez says he was just moment before of the event in the Philippines and he reported newest occasions in that area. He was taken in the local prison, but he get free later when his information can be ensured and Mexican inquisition reach also witnesses, whose witnessed that he really was in his workplace just moment before he appeared to the Mexico. 1681: "Father" of modern parapsychology and one of the founders of the Royal Society, Joseph Glanvill publish his investigations about possible consciousness related anomalies. Central place in his study had a Tidworth poltergeist, which was happened a few years before. Glanvill also declare his notion, that existence of the God could be proof for study occasions like this.
1690: Acupuncture appeared to western country.
1710: Thomas Fuller – probably first individual who reached publicity by the "autistic savant" – born in the Africa and sold in 14 year old as a slave in the America. Later his method rose well-known as hypnosis. Although Mesmer usually called as a father of hypnosis, similar methods had used by many others before him.
1772: Well-known philosopher, mystic and claimed clairvoyant Emmanuel Swedenborg died.
1776: First report about unknown animals in the central Africa published, including claim that local natives and some of the missionaries were detect dinosaur-alike animals in the jungles of Congo. First expeditions to find living dinosaur from Congo travelled to country for two hundred years later when those observations are taken more seriously because of fresh findings of "living fossils". The same report had also a description about "giraffe of jungles" that actually found from the jungles of Congo in 1976 and named as Okapi.
1784: Mythological count of Saint-Germain died.
1790: Probably first known claimed UFO-contact happened near the city of Alecon.

1800-1849

1807: Concept of clairvoyance rise to public knowledge when so called mesmerists (or hypnologists) notice that some persons who are in "somnambulistic dream" or hypnosis has ability to make extrasensory perceptions and some of them can do it also in the normal state of consciousness. At the same time one of Mesmer's followers, Hector Durville, make first carefully experiments about out of body experiences those he carry out when his patient were in the hypnosis, and he reported also so called silver rope, which was perceived by his volunteer clairvoyant when his patients experienced OOBE.
1810: Samuel Hahnemann published the basic concept of homeopathy. Later it noticed as pseudoscience in the science, but it reached also very wide popularity.
1815: Probably the greatest claimed miracle maker of 1800-ies, Giovanni Bosco born.
1817: John and Lucy Bell's house is in the focus of strong poltergeist phenomena almost three years. This was one of those cases that slowly activate wide interest to parapsychology.
1821: Mary Baker Eddy born. Later she rose to publicity as famous faith healer and founder of the Christian Science.
1826: Central founder of spiritualistic movement, Andrew Davis born.
1828: Kaspar Hauser appeared from the nowhere to the Nürnberg and reached the World wide publicity because of his strange life story and exceptional abilities. He dies five years later by unknown murderer in the mysterious circumstance.
1831: Well-known psychic and the founder of theosophy, HP Blavatsky born.
1837: Andrew Crosse begin his enigmatic experiments in his test-tube, where he could create a punks-alike life-forms in the few weeks from the crystal, which include certain minerals and various chemical liquids, where conducted also weak current. About decade later his experiments repeated by Michael Faraday and some other scientist, but Crosse himself was however despised in the end of his life. People didn't simply believe those claim or if they did, they thought that Crosse (and his colleagues) was take up a position of the God, which was totally intolerant in his time.

1849-1899

June 1851: French scientists had first carefully examined (fourteen) case where living animal been found inside of the rock, at this case it was a toad inside of flint. 1854: Famous physicist Michael Faraday begin to study spiritistic phenomena and make clear observation with his clever experimental measures, that all so called table dance –phenomena, at least in those cases which he studied, could be explained by ideomotorical movements of the participant's hands.

1858: Lourdes in France Pyrenes rise famous pilgrimage place when claimed that Virgin Mary was point this place to Bernadette Soubirou.
1861: William Mumler makes history by his ghost photos – first ones in the world. He reached lot of publicity, but researchers didn't get any of negatives related those photos and in the World of parapsychology they reached publicity only as first possible photographic hoax.
1861: Philosopher, founder of anthroposophy and occultist Rudolf Steiner born.
1863: Borley's parsonage built and later it rose famous as a greatest haunted house in the England.
1865: President Lincoln reported to his friends about terrible dream, where he was in his own funeral and participants answer to his question that what is happened, that the president was get into focus of assassination. A few days later Lincoln's dream really comes true. After a century some people also notice, that president Lincoln's and President Kennedy's murders and life stories had many conspicuous similarities, which rose one popular example of claimed synchronicity- phenomenon.
1868: Well-known astrologer Evangeline Adams born.
1869: From farm of William Newell found amazing giant's mummy, which proved as a fraud after few months and public show, which was built from plaster.

1877: Friedrich Zöllner, German professor of astrophysics, believes that phenomena in physical mediumship are involved with invisible dimesions and he choice to test his hypotheses with medium Henry Slade. 1882: F.W.H. Myers created the term "telepathy".
1882: The Society for Psychical Research founded in England as the World's first research organisation in parapsychology. Presidents of this authoritative society were included ministers, Nobelists and members of Royal Society.
1883: First official report about a strange light phenomenon in the Marfa, Texas.
1883: First photo from claimed UFO was taken in Mexico when director of Zacatecas observatory get a photo one of the strange object, whose go over the Sun when he was study sunspot. In spite of cases like this many of skeptics believe there is not any UFO-reports by professional astronomer.
1883: Strongest volcanic eruption of the modern history happened in the island of Krakatau. 1899: One of most famous "psi-stars" in our time, Wolf Messing born in little village near to Warsaw. Later his psychic abilities are tested by Einstein, Freud and other well-known scientists, and his claimed ability to give telepathic suggestions lead him to front of Stalin from Nazi-Germany where he had huge reward on his head by Hitler because of public prediction about dead of Führer.

1900-1929

1900: Archaeologist found so called Antikythera's mechanism from the sunken ship near the island of Antikythera. It was from year 80 BC, but it had so complex technical construction that official appreciation of history suppose that should be possible only after 1500 AC.
1901: So-called cross-correspondence experiment began when various mediums claimed to receive messages from the famous dead parapsychologist, like Frederich Myers, Henry Sidwick and Edmund Gurney and those messages got a sense only when they read as a hole, not like a different messages. This strange experiment last for years and real starting point was a promise of late parapsychologists, who declare that they try to communicate with living persons after they death if it seems possible.
1901-1904: Numerate horse named Wise Hans amazing the World, although soon researchers proved, that it can calculated only if it got some visual tips from his owner or somebody else, as the case were been also in other similar cases.
1908: Huge explosion in the Tunguska, Siperia fell lot of wood, which generate later many UFO theories about incident. After few decades research scientist believed that explosion caused from explosion of little comet.
1916: Sir Oliver Lodge published his famous book about evidence of life after death including discussions with his son via various mediums, who was died in the first world war.
1916: Well-known prophet and healer Grigori Rasputin had a violent death, after many attempt to murder him, which were all mysteriously failed.
1917: Series of mysterious events, called Fatima's miracle, happened in Fatima, Portugal with over hundred thousand of witnesses at all.
1920: Reinhold Ebert created cosmobiology, his research method for astrology. General opinion is however that the method is not valid or it is a pseudo-science.
July 1920: Marinus Dykshoorn, only medium in the World, whose abilities are confessed even governmental level, born in the Holland.
1922: Mathematician S. G. Soal get convinced about reality of psi when he get into Gordon-Davis case as a witness.
November 1922: Archaeologist found Pharao Tutankhamen's tomb. Exceptional many of them, who were opened the grave died soon after that and there happened also other mysterious coincidence, which makes curse of Pharao very popular topic.
1926: Shanti Devi born in India. Her claimed reincarnation memories were first ones who got into focus of wide scientific study when Gandhi set professional research group, which had a conclusion that the memories are not result of any kind of the normal information sources. Almost half a century after that Ian Stevenson began his systematic research with possible reincarnation cases in University of Virginia.
1926: Sathya Narayana Raju, known as Sri Sathya Sai Baba, born.
1928: Two years after Harry Houdin's death began most extraordinary series of events in the history of psychical research. First Houdin's widow got the messages from claimed Houdin's mother via medium Arthur Ford, which include code word that she were left to Houdin and her wife only (as the evidence of life after death, if there is anything) – and that code word was right one. Later she received famous code from person, who claimed to be Houdin himself, via also medium Arthur Ford. It was complex wholeness of words, whose also produce one word via certain algorithm and this was all right. Houdin's widow and her witnesses testify released, which was in general opinion a strong evidence for paranormal phenomena and survival after death. At the moment the World was amazed this conclusion, but soon after Houdin's widow released his news began the intense emphasis against her, and finally she was compelled to withdraw her testify and also isolated to any publicity in this issue. Other skeptics and parapsychologists were also left codes like this, but after Houdin's case the enthusiasm about "final evidence" has gone, probably for ever, and someone could even fear, for good reason of coarse, the destiny of Houdin's widow.
1929: Gilbert Murray, a well-known professor from the Oxford University become famous proponent of the parapsychology when he publish his successful experiments with telepathy. Public interest to telepathy rises.

1930-1949

1931: Japanese Tomokichi Fukurai carry out first noted experiment with so called thoughtography or psychical photography. Well-known Japanese clairvoyant Koichi Mita produce picture on the film, which is claimed to represent reverse side of the moon, and he can make also new similar photo in the repeat experiment. When photos later compared with the moon-photos by NASA, researchers found lot of similarity.
1932: Parapsychology rise to academically admissible when J.B. Rhine get permission to associate his parapsychology lab under William McDougall's department of psychology in the Duke university.
1936: Cryptoarchaeology or study of exceptional findings in history found new kind of enthusiasm via so-called Baghdad battery, which origin is from 1800 years before Volta created his battery – officially first time in the history. This discovery and the phenomenon called electrolysis might be also the solution for the problem of ancient gilt in certain problematical case.
1937: Journal of Parapsychology founded.
1939: Semyon Kirlian observe that certain electrical process can make visible via film that later called as Kirlian photography and some parapsychologists are interested use the method like this in their research because of claimed (consciousness related) anomalies within certain Kirlian-photos.
1942: Claimed sheep-goat-affect rose to publicity in the World of parapsychology when Gertrude Scmeidler discovered it in his research and created the term for it. Later that topic is extensive investigated by John Palmer.
1942: Term "psi" created to describe physical mechanism of possible parapsychological phenomena or anomalistic cognition by Richard H. Thouless and C. Weisner.
1943: USS Eldenridge disappeared during so-called Philadelphia experiment. Main part of claims about this experiments are later proven as urban legend, but they had certain basis in circumstances of world war two – like experiments on technology, which get ships "invisible" to torpedoes and water mines. It is also known that USS Eldenridge actually was disappeared in that certain day of experiments, but not because of dematerialization. It was on the trip at this day and as one of the faster ships in this time it was back in the starting point during the same day.
1944: Many people report so called foo-fighters which buzzing and flying formation with Allied combat aeroplanes in European and Pacific Theatres of War. Suggestions that they were Axis air weapons were found unconvincing. Wave of similar phenomena was also in Finland at 1930-ies and continued in whole Scandinavia after WW2 as "ghost rockets".
1945: Flight number nineteen disappeared in the area, which had later called as Bermuda's triangle and present Bermuda-myth begins, although planes found in the bottom of sea at the several decides later. According to recent research, there isn't exceptional number of disappearing in this area.
June 1947: Physicians in the Zurich, Switzerland study famous fakir Mirin Dajo, claimed survivor from various deadly situations. He was put under several unconventional experiments, which one he got a sword through his body, including several important organs as roentgen photo shows. After the experiment he seems to recover almost deadly organic damage. Various similar abilities had also observed on mediums and religious saints.
1947: Kenneth Arnold witnessed saucer-alike flying objects above of Mount Ranier when he was flying in the area. Because of his descriptions from that incident, term "flying saucer" began its conquest in the World media.
1947: Most famous UFO crash in the history happened in the Roswell, although it was probably some kind of secret military device.
1948: First official UFO research project, Project Sign, begin by the motion of General C. Craigie. Later it changes to Project Grudge and after that to Project Blue Book. Career of famous UFO investigator J. Allen Hynek begins also from this project.
1949: Marcello Bacci makes some experiments with his tube-radio and found inexplicable sounds and words in the recording, which seems to be messages from individuals who were already dead or tell something about life after death. Phenomena got name instrumental transcommunication (ITC) when it came more popular via experiments of Friedrich Jürgenson and Konstantin Raudive. Bacci himself work later as famous physical medium in the Italy.

1950-1959

1951: Healing became more popular around the World when it changed legal in the USA and some other country.
1951: International Parapsychology Foundation founded.
1952: Famous psychiatrist CG Jung and Nobel-rewarded physicist Wolfgang Pauli published they hypotheses, that some "unknown power" force events sometimes differ to normal causality and leaded them to meaningful coincidence. They named phenomena as a synchronicity.
1952: CIA started own research program to study extrasensory perception (ESP).
July 1952: France Air Forces found official UFO investigation committee, which replaced later as department of Defence Forces, GEPAN, which co-ordinated network of officers, whose had a duty to report any possible UFO-cases to them.
Autumn 1952: Coral and Jim Lorenzen founded in the Tucson the World's oldest private UFO organization (APRO).
1953: American inventor T. T. Brown observes that certain system can be levitated by conduct high-voltage to the device. Phenomenon could explain mainly by ionisation, but evidently this is not whole truth. Similar devices had later built also Professor John Searl.
1953: Robertson's UFO panel meets to make sure, that all UFO reports really are various misunderstanding. In spite of Robertson's committee opinions and CIA's authority, many open-minded scientists hadn't been so sure for that.
1953: Defence Force of United States of America publish guides named JANAP 146, which define punishment to the military personnel and authorities, who disclose their information about foreign devices and other exceptional objects. Guides specify also UFOs.
July 1953: Albert K. Bender claim that he encountered two men in black, who warned him to disclose his knowledge about "flying saucer". Story started the modern MIB-myth.
1954: Freiburg's University in Germany opened the chair of parapsychology, which received well-known parapsychologist Hans Bender.
1954: Parapsychology laboratory at University of Duke began significant series of experiments with possible animal-psi (ANPSI). Experimental animal was the dog named Chris, which had an ability to guess senders thought clearly above the pure change without any possibility of normal tips.
1955: Michael Gauquelin published first articles his wide statistical research on astrology, where he found the little correlation between planets and some human groups. Especially so-called Mars-effect is well known related to his study.

Chairman of panel was famous astrophysicist Peter Sturrock and it had financial support from the Laurance S. Rockefeller fund. Society published panel's work in the June 1998, where it recommended that any self-respectful scientists should take a more serious attitude to UFO phenomena.
June 1999: Julie Milton and Richard Wiseman published meta-analysis that covered thirty newest Ganzfeld-study, which were done by ten different researchers because of earlier remarkable results in the Ganzfeld studies. However meta-analysis show, that there is not any kind of sign that earlier positive results would repeated in the newest research. Sceptics saw this proved that psi doesn't exist and earlier studies had some unidentified methodological weakness. Others saw that so called failings in the study can be due to insufficient measures in those research and if psi exist also researchers mind must take into consideration as part of circumstances. Although both sides had an opinion that Ganzfeld has most remarkable method in the parapsychology and many saw also that additional research needed.
1999: French general's COMETA-report published. It concentrated to UFO phenomena relations to national defence. Report was result of the work of prestigious COMETA-group, nominated by defence forces in 1995. As a result of this discovery, hypothesis that we actually live in the simulation had giving totally new standpoint to research of paranormal phenomena.

2003: Group called Yellow Bamboo released to pass preliminary test of the million dollar challenge of James Randi by prove they claimed paranormal abilities to deputy of Randi's fund in the Philippines. After the sensational news Randi plead to little technical weaknesses in the film from the event and disqualify the result. Nobutaka Machimura Dan Kebijakan UFO Jepang

Nama Nobutaka Machimura mungkin kurang terdengar familiar di telinga para Ufolog, kecuali bagi sebagian yang mengamati politik internasional khususnya negara Jepang. Namun di penghujung akhir Desember 2007, nama ini muncul ke permukaan gara-gara pernyataannya mengenai UFO yang diliput oleh beragam media massa internasional.

Hal ini terjadi pada 18 Desember 2007 ketika Machimura yang menjabat sebagai Chief Cabinet Secretary berbicara kepada para reporter dalam menjawab tuntutan pihak oposisi, Ryuji Yamane untuk permintaan informasi akan "frequent reports of UFO sightings" -- Laporan Berkala Penampakan UFO.

Menurut laporan Kyodo News pada 18 Desember 2007, pemerintah tidak melakukan penelitian UFO apapun, atau mempersiapkan reaksi jika UFO ketahuan melintasi Jepang.

Pemerintah Jepang menanggapi ini secara resmi dengan pernyataan bahwa Jepang "had not confirmed sightings of unidentified flying objects believed to be from outer space" -- belum pernah mengkonfirmasi penampakan benda terbang tak dikenal yang diduga berasal dari luar angkasa.

Namun Machimura juga menambahkan, "I definitely believe they exist," -- Saya sepenuhnya percaya kalau mereka ada -- dan ditingkahi dengan derai tawa para wartawan.

Senada dengan jawaban Machimura, Menteri Pertahanan Jepang, Shigeru Ishiba pada 21 Desember 2007 memberikan pernyataan lain dihadapan pers menjawab pertanyaan mengenai bagaimana Jepang akan bertindak jika mendapat serangan dari "Space Aliens", terkait politik pertahanan Jepang yang melarang mereka terlibat dalam peperangan. Menanggapi hal ini Ishiba menyatakan bahwa Jepang tidak memiliki persiapan apapun menghadapi kemungkinan ini. Namun Ishiba akan mempelajari secara personal, pilihan apa saja yang terdapat bagi Jepang dalam hal ini.

Lebih lanjut soal keberadaan UFO, Ishiba berpendapat "There are no grounds for us to deny there are unidentified flying objects and some life-form that controls them" -- tidak ada dasar-dasar yang bisa kami pakai untuk menolak keberadaan UFO dan keberadaan mahluk hidup yang mengendalikan mereka. Selain itu ia juga menyatakan "Few discussions have been held on what the legal grounds are for a military response" -- Telah pernah dilakukan beberapa diskusi untuk membahas mengenai dasar-dasar hukum dari reaksi militer Jepang (terkait ancaman UFO).

Sedangkan Perdana Menteri Jepang Yasuo Fukuda pada 18 Desember 2007 menyatakan "I haven't seen one myself" -- belum pernah menyaksikan sendiri. Dan posisi resmi pemerintah Jepang dalam hal ini adalah "had not confirmed" -- belum dapat mengkonfirmasi.

Walaupun bukan dalam kapasitas pernyataan resmi pemerintah Jepang, pernyataan dua petinggi pemerintahan Jepang ini bisa jadi merupakan langkah penting dalam skala internasional lainnya setelah negara Perancis sebelumnya menerbitkan situs (semi) resmi pemerintah megenai laporan penampakan UFO dalam duapuluh tahun terakhir di Perancis.

Akankah Jepang menggebrak dengan memunculkan situs serupa? Akankah kebijakan politik negara-negara di dunia mengenai UFO (termasuk Indonesia) berubah seiring berkembangnya pemahaman masyarakat internasional akan fenomena UFO?

Jangan lupa, Indonesia pernah masuk dalam jajaran negara di dunia yang secara tidak langsung mengakui keberadaan UFO. (bay)

BATAM, PERSDA - FENOMENA sinar aneh muncul di langit Batam. Beberapa warga bertanya-tanya sinar apakah itu. Sementara pihak Stasiun Meteorologi Hang Nadim juga belum bisa menjelaskan secara pasti. Fenomena tersebut berbentuk dua buah sinar vertikal yang sejajar. Kedua sinar ini mulai muncul hari Senin (12/11) sekitar pukul 21.00 WIB di langit sebelah utara. Anehnya sinar berwarna kuning kemerahan tersebut tidak bergerak.

Adanya sinar ini membuat beberapa warga keluar rumah. Dengan dihinggapi pertanyaan, mereka melihat fenomena alam tersebut. "Sinar apa itu ya. Kok tidak bergerak," ungkap seorang warga.

Ada juga warga yang beranggapan jika sinar tersebut erat kaitannya dengan mistik. "Mungkin itu semacam keris pusaka. Berarti keris kembar," ungkap warga lainnya dengan nada keheranan.

Fenomena itu bisa terlihat jelas di Batuampar. Cuaca malam itu memang sangat mendukung karena tidak terdapat mendung sedikitpun. Apalagi bintang-bintang di langit juga bisa terlihat dengan jelas.

Seorang warga mencoba memastikan apakah sinar tersebut juga bisa dilihat dari wilayah lainnya. Dengan telepon selular, seorang warga mencoba menghubungi saudaranya di Legenda Malaka. "Coba keluar rumah. Lihat di langit sebelah utara ada sinar aneh. Mari kita berdoa agar tidak terjadi sesuatu. Semoga Allah melindungi kita," ungkap bapak itu.

Keberadaan sinar tersebut memang membuat bingung. Untuk beberapa saat, sinar tersebut sempat redup. Namun kembali terlihat. Satu setengah jam kemudian, kedua sinar sejajar ini meredup dan tidak terlihat lagi seperti garis sejajar, namun bayangannya masih ada.

Sejauh ini belum diperoleh penjelasan ilmiah akan fenomena itu. Kepala Kelompok Pemantauan Cuaca Stasiun Hang Nadim Batam belum bisa menjelaskan secara pasti."Sayangnya dari tempat saya tidak terlihat. Tapi dari penjelasan saudara, itu bukan bintang," ungkap Yayat.

Yayat sendiri tidak yakin jika sinar tersebut merupakan fenomena alam. "Kalau fenomena itu seperti halo matahari, pelangi. Tapi saya juga belum melihat pelangi di malam hari," ungkapnya.

Tanpa informasi yang lebih jelas, akan mudah untuk "menuduh" negara tetangga kita, Singapura atau Malaysia sebagai dalang dibalik fenomena ini, apalagi penampakan terjadi di langit sebelah Utara. Semestinya yang ikut diwawancarai adalah pihak Bandara, karena mereka memiliki kemampuan penginderaan elektronik yang cukup canggih.

Berita juga tidak menyertakan deskripsi yang lebih mendetail, misalnya perkiraan ketinggian, atau minimal derajat penampakan terhadap horizon/kaki langit. Setelah melihat foto barulah cukup jelas kalau penampakan tersebut terjadi cukup tinggi di langit, berdasarkan posisi penampakan terhadap ujung tiang telepon.

Ribuan orang dari berbagai kota di Jawa Timur (Jatim) dan Bali, Selasa (17/11) malam berdatangan secara bergelombang memadati Desa Karetan, Kecamatan Purwoharjo, Kabupaten Banyuwangi. Mereka memburu adanya benda bersinar di langit yang jatuh di wilayah tersebut. Kota paling ujung timur dari wilayah Jatim yang mulai 'terbebas' dari aksi teror ninja mau pun pemeriksaan dari warga yang melakukan pengamanan swakarsa di jalan-jalan raya, datang ke Karetan untuk membuktikan adanya benda bercahaya terang warna kuning kebiruan yang memancar dari tengah hutan jati, masuk wilayah Dusun Turain, Desa Karetan.

Cahaya misterius yang dapat dilihat dari beberapa sudut desa di kawasan Kecamatan Purwoharjo sejauh 1 km itu ada sejak dua minggu terakhir. Semula, pancaran sinar terang tersebut disebutkan warga seperti meteor yang jatuh dari langit dan menghujam di tengah hutan jati. Bahkan karena Banyuwangi sedang dilanda keresahan isu dukun santet, sinar misterius itu sempat diisukan sebagai pusat kegiatan kelompok pembantai dukun santet yang disebut ninja. Namun sesudah sekitar seribu penduduk umumnya laki-laki Desa Karetan yang membawa perlengkapan aneka senjata tajam didampingi sejumlah petugas Polsek Purwoharjo yang mengaku penasaran dan ingin mengetahui wujud benda yang memancarkan sinar misterius itu secara beramai-ramai, Minggu (15/11) malam sepakat melakukan pencarian ke pusat cahaya.

Beberapa warga yang ikut dalam rombongan pencarian mengaku tidak menemukan benda tersebut. Belasan wartawan dalam dan luar negeri yang semula bertugas meliput sidang pengadilan delapan tersangka pelaku pembantaian di Pengadilan Negeri Banyuwangi, Senin (16/11) malam bersama-sama datang dan menyaksikan cahaya tersebut. Kamerawan televisi luar negeri tampak mengabadikannya, termasuk beberapa wartawan dalam negeri yang mengambil gambar dengan tustel.

Kapolres Banyuwangi Letkol Pol Drs Edy Murdiono SH yang menyempatkan datang ke Desa Karetan menduga, cahaya itu sebagai bagian dari pecahan benda angkasa (meteor) yang jatuh beberapa waktu lalu. Meteor yang jatuh tersebut bisa jadi merupakan benda pertama dari meteor Lionids yang muncul dalam kurun waktu 33 tahun sekali. "Bisa jadi, benda itu merupakan pecahan pertama meteor Linoids yang belakangan diburu banyak astronom yang berkumpul di Pegunungan Mongolia hingga Thailand Utara," ujarnya.

Analisis:

Mungkinkah memang meteor? Atau pecahan satelit? Bila ya, tentu pecahan meteor tidak akan menyala terus menerus selama dua minggu, dan pecahan satelit tidak akan jatuh secara bertahap selama dua minggu lamanya. Pecahan meteor juga kecil kemungkinannya bercahaya dengan spektrum warna kuning kebiruan (anyway, kuning kebiruan = ijo?). Apalagi kalau tiba-tiba bercahaya kembali dan bisa diamati banyak orang, tapi benda fisiknya tidak diketemukan.

Sejarah Singkat Penampakan UFO

Penyelidikan UFO mendetail pertama di dunia, bisa dibilang terjadi diawal abad ke-13, tepatnya pada 1235 ketika pasukan Jendral Jepang Yoritsume's mengamati fenomena cahaya yang tak dapat dijelaskan di angkasa. Jendral lantas menugaskan sekelompok penyelidik untuk mempelajadi kasus ini, dan akhirnya menawarkan kesimpulan bahwa yang mereka lihat saat itu adalah sekedar bintang, yang bergoyang-goyang karena angin.

Di dunia modern, penelitian serius mengenai fenomena penampakan UFO telah dimulai pada sekitar tahun 1933 terhadap fenomena “Ghost Plane” di Skandinavia dan negara-negara lain di daratan Eropa . Di Australia sendiri, penelitian ini telah dimulai lebih awal lagi yaitu pada tahun 1920, ketika kapal laut SS Amelia J. menghilang di Selat Bass. Hilangnya kapal laut ini, ternyata terjadi bersamaan dengan banyaknya laporan mengenai munculnya sinar-sinar misterius di selat tersebut . Di Amerika Serikat, penelitian dimulai pada tahun 1947 atas kasus perjumpaan UFO yang dilaporkan Kenneth Arnold dalam penerbangannya di Gunung Rainier, AS. Sedangkan di Indonesia, semenjak J.Salatun menempati jabatannya pada tahun [?]1967.

Namun walaupun telah puluhan (bahkan ratusan) tahun berlalu, tetap tidak ada penjelasan memuaskan yang dapat diberikan dari rangkaian penelitian atas fenomena UFO. Dan ternyata, dengan semakin canggihnya teknologi saja, fenomena UFO ini masih tetap menyimpan banyak misteri.

Pada masa abad pertengahan, fenomena penampakan UFO seringkali dikaitkan dengan hal religius, atau superstitius. Tak jarang penampakan UFO di langit dianggap sebagai pertanda dari Tuhan atau dewa-dewa atas musibah yang akan datang, atau menyertai suatu kejadian khusus. Terrmasuk dalam hal ini misalnya beberapa lukisan abad pertengahan yang menggambarkan Yesus atau figur Kristen sakral lainnya, dengan latar belakang benda terbang misterius dilangit.

Sedangkan pada masa yang lebih kuno, yaitu pada masa prasejarah, penampakan UFO ini seringkali memang dipercayai sebagai peristiwa kedatangan dewa yang mereka sembah, dewa yang pada jaman dahulu mengajarkan kebudayaan dan teknologi pada cikal bakal manusia modern.

Di Amerika Selatan, terdapat beberapa patung kuno peninggalan suku Indian yang menggambarkan dewa mereka yang turun dari langit. Uniknya, dewa yang mereka rupakan ini jika dilihat dengan sudut pandang modern ternyata sangat mirip dengan gambaran seseorang astronot! Astronot yang digambarkan berpakaian antariksa, komplet dengan helm bulatnya, sedang menunggangi roket dengan menghadapi serangkaian panel pengendali!

Pendapat mengenai penampakan dan identitas UFO ini kemudian berkembang seiring dengan mundur dan majunya peradaban-peradaban besar dunia, perkembangan teknologi, dan terutama dengan timbulnya kemampuan manusia untuk melakukan hal yang sama; terbang.

Ketika manusia memiliki kemampuan untuk menjelajah langit, tingkat pertemuan antara manusia dengan UFO pun makin meningkat. Keberhasilan Wright bersaudara untuk menunggangi angin dan membuat pesawat terbang, membuktikan bahwa terbang bukanlah hak eksklusif bangsa burung dan unggas. Dari pencapaian prestasi ini manusiapun lalu melihat fenomena UFO sebagai suatu hal yang lebih terukur dan lebih "membumi", bukan sebagai dewa yang turun dari langit, namun sebagai hasil teknologi maju dari mahluk yang mungkin mirip seperti manusia.

Dari serangkaian penelitian yang kemudian dilakukan terhadap fenomena penampakan UFO, baik oleh pihak militer maupun sipil, maka dapat diambil beberapa anggapan umum mengenai asal-usul dari UFO serta teknologi dan peradaban yang berada dibelakangnya. Penelitian UFO di Indonesia

Indonesia sebagai negara berkembang sebenarnya telah memiliki pencapaian yang cukup berarti dalam penelitian UFO dengan munculnya Marsekal Muda (purn.) J.Salatun, seorang pengamat UFO yang telah diakui dunia internasional. Selama bertugas di militer, Salatun mendapat dukungan dari AURI untuk melakukan penyelidikan atas fenomena UFO lokal dan global. Komandan AU yang menjabat saat itu, Roesmin Nurjadin, 1967 menganggap fenomena UFO sebagai suatu hal nyata dan terjadi pula di Indonesia

"UFOs sighted in Indonesia are identical with those sighted in other countries. Sometimes they pose a problem for our air defense and once we were obliged to open fire on them."

J.salatun sendiri berpendapat penelitian akan fenomena penampakan UFO sebagai suatu hal yang penting terkait masalah keamanan nasional dan dunia.

"The study of UFOs is a necessity for the sake of world security in the event we have to prepare for the worst in the space age, irrespective of whether we become Columbus or the Indians."

Salatun yang sempat menjabat sebagai Ketua LAPAN, hingga saat inipun masih terlibat dalam kegiatan penelitian UFO diantaranya dalam "Sign Historical Group", sebuah workshop internasional yang bertujuan mengumpulkan ahli-ahli Ufologi terkemuka untuk menyusun daftar kejadian dalam sejarah penelitian UFO dunia. Salatun juga merupakan orang yang memiliki ide untuk memberikan istilah dalam bahasa Indonesia yang khas untuk UFO yaitu, "BETA" (Benda Terbang yang Aneh), dan kemudian dikoreksi menjadi "Beterbedi" (Benda Terbang Belum Dikenal). Namun sayangnya, kurangnya perhatian dari pihak pemerintah dalam masa-masa setelahnya, telah membuat penelitian di bidang ini terhenti, dan Indonesia kembali bergabung dengan negara-negara lain dalam ke tak-peduliannya (dan ketidaktahuannya) atas fenomena UFO.

Namun kondisi ini lambat-laun berubah, kala penyebaran informasi terjadi dengan lebih cepat, dan warga Indonesia banyak yang bepergian ke negara lain. Dari buku-buku dan majalah terbitan luar, para peneliti UFO lokal secara tertatih-tatih berusaha mengikuti perkembangan yang terjadi di dunia Internasional.

Lalu berkaitan dengan imbas dari serial “The X-Files”, setelah disiarkannya film seri ini di salahsatu stasiun TV nasional, serta semakin mudahnya untuk mendapatkan akses internet, animo masyarakat akan fenomena UFO pun kembali meningkat pesat.

Atas dasar kondisi ini, di Indonesia pun kemudian bermunculan kelompok pengamat UFO independen. Salahsatunya, “BETA-UFO”. BETA-UFO didirikan untuk menyelidiki dan mendata fenomena UFO di Indonesia, atas prakarsa beberapa pengamat UFO amatir dari beragam kota di Indonesia.

Pemakaian istilah “BETA” disini merupakan penghormatan kepada istilah yang dimunculkan oleh J.Salatun, untuk menunjukkan identitas kelompok yang berasal dari Indonesia. (bay)

Fenomena penampakan UFO dan teori yang berkembang dibaliknya merupakan topik yang misterius. Walaupun setelah berpuluh tahun fenomena ini dipelajari, tidak banyak kesimpulan yang bisa diambil. Hal ini terjadi karena miskinnya data penampakan atau perjumpaan dengan UFO yang bisa dijadikan acuan, serta kecenderungan reaksi negatif dari pihak yang berwajib, masyarakat ilmiah, maupun masyarakat umum.

Jangankan berbicara soal melihat penampakan UFO, kepercayaan bahwa UFO itu sendiri ada, seringkali sudah cukup untuk dijadikan bahan olok-olokan. Pihak berwajibpun tak jarang mendiskreditkan saksi yang melaporkan telah melihat UFO, dengan menganggap mereka hanyalah mengalami halusinasi, memiliki masalah penglihatan, salah mengidentifikasikan hal sederhana (burung terbang, planet Mars, dll.), atau alasan-alasan lainnya yang terkesan dipaksakan (gas rawa, lumba-lumba melompat tinggi, dll.). Hal-hal seperti ini tak jarang membuat ciut nyali saksi mata perjumpaan UFO untuk menceritakan pengalaman mereka, hingga memilih untuk bungkam atau pura-pura tak peduli. Kondisi ini tentu saja menyulitkan peneliti dalam mendapatkan laporan berharga dari kasus-kasus perjumpaan yang benar-benar terjadi.

Kondisi yang buruk ini seringkali ditambah runyam lagi dengan reaksi dari beragam UFO-believer yang kadang melakukan hal-hal ganjil atas nama UFO. Di negara AS misalnya, pada tahun 28 Maret 1997 muncul kegemparan atas aksi bunuh diri yang dilakukan 39 orang pengikut sekte “Heaven’s Gate”, yang mengaku telah mendapat wangsit dari tuhan. Mereka percaya jiwa mereka akan dibawa meninggalkan dunia menuju surga dalam sebuah pesawat ruang angkasa pada waktu yang ditetapkan. Kejadian semacam ini telah menimbulkan reaksi negatif dari masyarakat umum dan khususnya pihak berwajib. Secara otomatis hal semacam ini juga telah membuat suasana penelitian serius di bidang Ufologi semakin mengeruh.

"UFO" adalah akronim dari "Unidentified flying Object", atau diterjemahkan kedalam Bahasa Indonesia menjadi "Benda Terbang Tak Dikenal". Istilah ini sendiri baru muncul pada tahun 1954, dalam suatu press release resmi oleh Angkatan Udara Amerika Serikat (untuk selanjutnya kita singkat menjadi “AU AS”) di Pentagon atas prakarsa Edward Ruppelt, Direktur pertama “Project Blue Book”. Project Blue Book sendiri adalah proyek pertama penyelidikan UFO yang dibentuk oleh AU AS dalam meneliti fenomena penampakan benda-benda terbang Asing di Amerika Serikat, dan di negara-negara lain. Sebelum press release tersebut keluar, media massa lebih gemar mempergunakan istilah "Flying Saucer" (atau "Piring Terbang"), mengacu pada pengalaman Kenneth Arnold di Gunung Rainier, Amerika Serikat, tujuh tahun sebelumnya.

Istilah “UFO encounter” atau “perjumpaan dengan UFO” sebenarnya mencakup secara luas seluruh peristiwa perjumpaan dengan segala macam benda terbang yang tak dikenal, tanpa harus mengacu semata-mata kepada “Piring Terbang”, atau “kendaraan dari luar angkasa”. Suatu benda terbang tak dikenal sudah sewajarnya mendapat istilah “UFO” sebelum berhasil diidentifikasi.

Namun untuk menghindari kerancuan, maka dalam situs ini penulis akan membahas UFO lebih dalam konteks sebagai “Benda terbang terkendali dengan asal-usul yang misterius”. Definisinya;

"Segala macam benda yang terlihat bisa terbang dengan terkendali (tidak sekedar hanyut terbawa angin), serta tidak diketahui asal-usulnya, atau diduga tidak termasuk dalam jenis benda terbang yang diketahui dibuat oleh manusia". (bay)
